An Impending Heart Attack

In my last message we revisited God’s people under Nehemiah’s leadership and were reminded of their vigilance under attack to ever be on guard, armed and ready to use their weapons. A metaphor of the need to always be ready to take a strong stand on the principles of God’s Word—to resist compromise, especially in this uncertain, deceptive last days era in which we live.

However, Nehemiah made certain that his people didn’t quit building, a metaphor we must not forget today either. If our body didn’t constantly build new cells we would soon get sick and die as old cells are being damaged and destroyed. So it is in the church, the body of Christ.
Today we will look at the original blue print our Lord gave to the church for its basic welfare and standard function. When we do, it becomes obvious that we must produce a certain product or we miserably fail and will soon die out. What can we do as individuals to fit Christ’s plan? Finding that niche will bring great purpose to living.
