Guarded by God’s Peace

There was a man who worried about everything. His friends knew him as a chronic worrier.

But one day they found him with a big smile on his face, whistling. And they wondered, “What’s happening? He doesn’t seem like the same man.”

So they stopped him and asked, “What happened to you? You used to ring your hands and bite your nails, now you’re whistling and smiling.

The man said, “Yeah, the reason was that I used to have so many things to worry about. But I found out about an amazing service. Now I’m paying a man to do all my worrying for me.”

“You mean you aren’t worrying any more?’ ‘No! And whenever I feel like worrying, I just let him do it for me.”

“That sounds like an amazing service. How much does this guy charge?”

Without batting an eye, he said, “$10,000 a week.”

Their eyebrows went up. ‘How can you afford that?’

The man just shrugged. “That’s not my worry!”

Tonight we’re going to see that we don’t have to worry, if our hearts are guarded by God’s peace.
